How we have been doing it is by posting daily (ie. you need content, content and more content) full of relevant keywords (we write about internet marketing for execs, many in business) so we try to write about that as much as possible. Also, every day I make a point of registerng our site on a new directory, whatever I can find. Of course, it helps that I have a great search engine optimizer, Joy Larkin, who is there to help. If you are stuck, try all those great blogs on search engine marketing like http://www.SmallBusinessSEM.com or those great folks over at http://www.gooruze.com .. just jammed full of info. Of course, the best resource is experts who have done it. Most cities have internet marketing associations, groups, chapters of the Direct Marketing Association and the American Marketing ASsociation that hold regular meetings, seminars, etc. on these topics. Also .. too much stuff to really list .. try all the incredible seminars offered by http://www.MarketingExperiments.com and MarketingSherpa and the American Management Association on this.
