Article submissions sites, myspace, facebook, youtube, yahoo answers all can build back links.

I can’t seem to get http://www.itstackle.com in a ranking to get a good recognition.

I recommend you start a blog and write about anything from local fishing conditions to events… anything that springs to mind, write about it. Then add these posts to social websites so you will be exposed to targeted traffic.

Your front page isn’t optimised correctly so over and above getting quality links to your website, you still need to categorise your website for Google Search (plus other search engines but Google is the main player). If your title tag is not targeted then you will never be on the 1st page of Google.

I’ll gladly consult, I’m a avid fisherman myself and have never done SEO on a fishing website. Although structurely SEO is the same for most websites.

This site http://www.articlebanker.com claims that one can get unlimited backlinks by posting articles on this said site, is this possible.

Yes, that is how a lot of webmasters get free traffic to their sites, is by writing articles. There are lots of places you can submit your articles to and in the bottom of your article you get to place a link back to your website. Anyone who uses your article is suppose to keep the source links in place which will give you lots of free traffic, as long as it is a good article.

If so explain in detail on how to comment.

yes commenting on blogs is useful. The first good thing about it is it gives you backlinks. One of the best ways to get backlinks from high ranked pages. There are many popular blogs online that have high PR, depending on that when you leave comment, you place your website URL there. About keywords. Try to use keywords in your anchor text. usually blogs have username as anchor text. So use keywords there. The other thing that is important is that your comment should be funny, interesting or interrogative. Do not write 3-5 words like thank you for the information or it is great. Try to place something interesting, or you can ask the author for any doubts or you can comment on others comment and so on. sometimes the readers are interested in who the comment is from and might visit your site. just drop in your views. leaving comments on blogs have never harmed anyone.

i have been through several websites to find out the exact number of backlinks for a website http:// www.cinnova.com can any one plz suggest a website or a tool to get accurate backlinks asap

For any website you cannot find exact number of backlinks. For your website, I think you have around 800 links.

To get a better rank.

The best way to get people to link back to your site is to give them content that they will want to share with their friends and family. You can also simply ask them to link to your site if they have one of their own. One of the worst mistakes you could make is to use something like Blastomatic to place a free ad on another site. I once did this, got bombed with over 100 emails per day of junk, and actually lost ranking do to the irrelevancy of those link backs created by the ads. Hope this helps

What are some effective link building strategies for a business services website?

Create great content related to your industry, perhaps on a blog (on the same website as the business website). Use social media techniques to promote the content.

If it truly is quality content, people will link to it, and perhaps to your company’s homepage as well. These are the best sort of links you can get.

for example, I have a few articles posted on the internet which point to site X. However I am now moving the whole operation to site Y, so is it okay for the articles to then point to site Y, or may I get a penalty in the search engines for this? Any advice? Thank you!

It is fine that you are redirecting traffic to your new site for whatever purpose. Google won’t penalize you unless you have two copies of the article on the internet.

i know links on blogs, classifieds, forums etc can help, but what are some specific resources ie websites with high PR i can use?

Theres a good list of social bookmarking sites you can use to generate backlinks.
I’ve listed them in order of page rank. Some are specialists and most can spot spam a mile off. So you have to find out which is which through trial and error. I cant vouch for any these sites, their content or their affiliations. I dont have ANY connection with any of them and im only posting the urls not links to them as there really isnt any other way to answer the OPs question without doing so.

I have a few sites and want to check how many backlinks they have. How to do it?and any advice to increase page rank of them? Thanks.

When starting a link building campaign (or continuing one), you want to be able to check your progress and see if you are indeed building any backlinks to your site. You want to be able to see if any of the links are “nofollow“, what anchor text is being used for the links, and what quality of site the links are on. Since I have gotten into link building, I have been steadily compiling a list of sites that allow you to check your backlinks. You may have heard of searching Google with “link: yourwebsite.com.” While this does work, it discourages many new (and even some experienced) webmasters because Google doesn’t include all of the links they have listed to your site. Sometimes, they don’t show any. Move beyond using this tool, and try out some of the websites below.

Not all of these sites are created equal, and I don’t think any of them can give you a definite 100% list of the amount of links that you have online pointing back to your site. That being said, some are definitely better than others. I am going to give you a summary of each one. Try them all out, and find out which ones work best for your needs, and for your specific sites.

WARNING: Do not use all of the sites listed. This will be a waste of your time that could be used for building links. Instead, find the few that work best for your site, and don’t compare the stats between the sites. Instead, start a spreadsheet and weekly check and log the amount of backlinks listed on each of the resources, and compare the number to the amount listed on the SAME resource a week ago. That will give you a much better idea of your progress.

SEO Pro’s Link Checker–My Recommendation!

http://seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/link-checker/

This is a very fantastic backlink checking service. Although it takes a little while (not too long) to populate the list of URL’s, this is one of the few tools in this whole list that actually shows the true pagerank of the pages your URL is on. It also tell you how many links are on that page, whether or not the link uses “nofollow”, the anchor text for the link. You also have the ability to check the number of backlinks for all of the pages on your site, or just the top domain. If you are going to just use one backlink checker, then use this one!
