I have been adding links to a website from other websites I own.. Problem is they are all page rank of three and I have heard this doesn’t help…Is this true and does it pay to buy backlinks?

I have an SEO company in Holland and i think that all incoming links from relevant site are good

How do they affect your page? Do they help it go up in the page ranking? Just how do they work?

Backlinks should really be called in-pointing links. They are links from other peoples’ websites to yours.

They are very good.

They drive you free traffic.

Google uses backlinks to determine whether your site is an authority or not.

The more links you have, the higher your Google ‘Page Rank’ (PR).

Also, the more links you have from high PR sites, the better.

You get instant backlinks when you,

1) Register with directories,

2) Submit articles for publication,

3) Post on forums,

4) Put pictures or videos on youtube and myspace,

5) Are socially bookmarked, and

6) When you write a Blog.

Getting backlinks other ways, i.e. when people genuinely believe your site is great and put a link to your site on theirs, takes time.

In a nutshell, you definitely need backlinks if you want the search engines to take you seriously, particularly Google.

I would like to know if a site created in multiply.com with a link to a website is counted as back links by search engines?

A link is a link is a link.
However, a link on a page with more than 30 links is not very good at all.

A link on a page that has nothing about what you do is not that good.
Most authority sites have no follows these days as well. Not a bad thing as it still shows up, but it will keep you from getting crawled from site to site.

Although I make good money from my website. I have no back links. Does anyone know a way to get good back links to increase SEO ranking?

view my site and give suggestions for me to get back links.

Banklinks http://homebizseo.com/SEO/Backlinks.html Back Links help with Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Google and Yahoo rank websites higher that have more backlinks. Backlinks is the number one criteria considered by search engines when indexing and driving traffic to your site. The higher you are ranked equals the more traffic you will generate. With increase traffic, better are the chances of sales and profitability.

I need free ways to backlinks to my forum: http://gameindex.proboards24.com

If you want free backlinks to your forum, try the following:

1 – Moderate your forums and invite members to post only valuable content (not just spam your forums with their own businesses). If people find the content of your forum worthwhile, they will link to it

2 – Submit articles. Write articles and submit them to websites accepting author submissions. You get exposure for your business; establishes you as an authority in your field, and allows you to get backlinks for your website. If 50 websites publish your article and it contains a link back to your website, then you easily get 50 links from a single article. The more links you have, the greater your chances for increasing your search engine rankings.

Here is a comprehensive list of where to submit your articles http://answers.yahoo.com/question/;_ylt=AhzreGmnCUicOoyedqypscUjzKIX?qid=1006022407481

3 – Send out press releases. While outfits charge as much as $650 per release, there are free press release submission places on the Web. Press releases allow you to (a) attract media attention; (b) get more back links to your website without sending each website an email request; and (c) get more visibility especially if your press release gets in Google News or Yahoo News.

4 – find all gaming websites and directories and request if they could link to you

For example, when I type into the Yahoo search bar "link:www.website.com" is comes up with 57 inlinks.

But when I type "link:www.website.com" into Google is displays that there are no links. This happens with all websites; it seems they all pick up on different amounts of links and sometimes the amounts differ drastically.

Is there a reason behind this?

Thanks in advance

Different search engines have different methods of "discounting" backlinks. Most SEO experts think that all the major search engines see every backlink, but their algorithm discounts the ones they think are irrelevant or artificial. The best backlinks come from relevant websites with high pagerank.

I was wondering if anyone had a list of high PR sites that provide a backlink in exchange for adding a profile to their site. I understand some sites credit you more for adding content to their site, and that is fine. I know all the common ones like social bookmarking, Ezine, Dashboard, etc. I am looking for sites that are different.

Many social bookmarking sites are high page ranked. Best example is Digg. Just register and post your link on the site.

I think this is crazy.
Is the only way to get higher ranking is by back linking?
They want me to spend hundreds of hours begging people to exchange links with my site. make sure they are relevant.. Whats that going to prove? I know people buy them somehow. Is there just a better way?

Yes, pagerank is all about who is linking to your site — the more a website is considered an "authority" the better for you. From the Google webmaster pages explaining pagerank http://www.google.com/technology/

——————————————-
PageRank Explained

PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at considerably more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; for example, it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important." Using these and other factors, Google provides its views on pages’ relative importance.
——————————————-

Google does not expect you to spend hundreds of hours begging for people to exchange links with your site. What they want are "natural linking patterns" where a site naturally links to you because your site has GREAT CONTENT, and not as a result of some manipulation of the system.

People do buy links — but Google is now penalizing sites that sell these text links. Scammers and spammers may be a step ahead of Google, but the search engines do catch up — and when they do, they can wreak havoc on the site. In this case, if you sell text link for pagerank purposes, you can expect to see your Google traffic fall down drastically, if not totally removed from the Google database.

Don’t think of sending thousands of links. Instead focus on building great, useful content that your visitors will want and search engines will love. It is not a hard concept at all … except for those who want a shortcut to everything, including Google rankings

i am looking some couples, relationship related backlinks? anyone guide me how to get this links? ready buy !

Lots of Experience link builing companies available , however, as a professional SEO company Extreme Seo Internet Solutions will help you particular link building project,

I’m trying to get indexed as fast as possible. I have a lot of weaker links but I’m looking for PR 4+ sites. If anyone knows a site willing to do link exchange or if any webmaster would link exchange with me I would really appreciate it.

The blog is http://matthewcorgan.blogspot.com/

Info – It has been around 3-4 months and has a lot of weaker one way backlinks already.

What you really need to do is contact other blog writers in your niche. Ask them to check out your website and hopefully they will find it interesting enough to link to you. Don’t just ask them for a link, this might turn them off enough that they’ll not even visit your site at all.

The other best thing you can do is submit your best blog posts to stumbleupon, digg, and other social media websites.

But what you will most want to consider is getting your website on your own domain and hosting service. It can be hard to rank a subdomain on blogspot. Get a keyword in your domain name as well.
