I need to improve my website rankings can anyone help me get free links on PR8 and PR9 websites

That’s high target to aim for, pr 5 and 6 sites are more the bread and butter sources of backlinks. One backlink source that’s a dream for many is the pr-8 DMOZ directory which only lists quality sites after human reviews a process that can take months. Search engine ranking depends on the PR of the actual page that contains the link

I am looking for some good SEO software or tool that allows you to see all of the backlinks to any site. I am specifically looking for one that will show the backlinks, but also show whether they are dofollow or nofollow.

The most important thing to do is to ensure that your site has good content for users.

More content will result in more pages indexed by Google and other search engines.

I was in the same boat as you. Fortunately, there is very reliable backlick software to help you get where you need to be.

I used the http://www.Link-Press.com backlink service a few times and it works well.

I was just researching my competition and using tools I can see that the main site I want to outrank for certain keywords has 4500 backlinks.

I think I would start by googling something like ‘reptile care:forums’ and then joining them and posting links on the site during natural conversation.

The other thing that is known to help SEO is by writing articles for ezinearticles (you can even get someone to write the articles for you) – I’m guessing you have plenty of information to share?

After that SEO your website content as much as possible.

I would also investigate Social Networking (Twitter, Facebook, Squidoo, YouTube (Google loves YouTube – I wonder why?), Stumbleupon, Digg, Delicious….. and other Traffic Generation methods, then slowly you will see results.

One word of warning it can take months to see your site move up the ranks, so I would advise trying to drive traffic through other methods first.

Blogs can also be good, if you post comments even with nofollow then someone will probably follow up on your link just out of interest, if it’s good content!

But if you’re really set on SEO, then articles, articles and more articles would be my advice.

Well, It is not necessary that a site create its back links by itself. If you have quality content and something different/unique on your site people by themselves will give you the back links. This term is called link baiting BTW you talking about which site ?
