My question is HOW HAS HE DONE THAT?
It is not possible to write millions of articles and post them in millions of websites, then how has it been possible to create that many backlinks?
Well, It is not necessary that a site create its back links by itself. If you have quality content and something different/unique on your site people by themselves will give you the back links. This term is called link baiting

If you are developing a dating sites then maintain it – add natural advice to the user, get testimonial. All these will give boost in search engine ranking.

I think he probably hired someone to build backlinks for his websites. And he might also get it from sites linking to stories or profiles on their dating site.
