Do Autosurf programs increase page rank and Alexa ratings?
First off, Pagerank is a value for web pages, not entire websites. This means each one of your web pages will have it’s own unique Pagerank value. Alexa is a site wide value.
First, auto surf programs and services are a waste of time, they don’t provide any targeted traffic and are usually just bots roaming through their members list mimicing traffic. I would stay away from any auto surfing programs. Using these is also a violation of most publisher ad network programs (AdSense, ValueClick, YPN, etc).
Futher, don’t use Alexa for any ranking data, they don’t even have %0.5 of internet users using the Alexa toolbar, so the data is very inaccurate and not useful to anyone. Actually the whole "ranking" thing is a cover for the fact Alexa is SPYWARE. This toolbar tracks everything you do in your web browser and reports it to a main server, which is then resold to marketing analysis groups. Alexa does not care about rankings, they want your data to resell!

I would just like to know how often Google updates its backlinks? As I have been working hard since November and have built up quite a few, but when i put link:http://www.itoms.com into google it only shows 5. It doesnt even show links that were there before November from very reputable sites.
Has anybody got any ideas about this?
To view all the links Google has found for your website you need to use Google Webmasters Central (www.google.com/webmasters). You can use the "External Links" section inside the dashboard. This will show you all the backlinks Google has found for your site, this data updates weekly. This is "far" better results than the link: search operator.
